CLEAN SPACE

WHAT IS
CLEAN SPACE?
Clean Space is a technique developed by David Grove in 2002 and used in coaching and psychotherapy.
It enables the client to come in touch with their inner wisdom and to use the space to look for answers and solutions to a specific question, problem, or creative challenge.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Guided by specific questions, you first project your inner landscape into the space, and then explore the space.
Supported by the therapist, you first externalize different aspects of your thought by creating different positions in the space.
You then explore the space by moving freely between the positions. This enables you to intuitively connect with different ideas and concepts, memories, thoughts and feelings, but also to explore possible relationships, connections, patterns, and movements between them.
Exploring the space allows you to gain an intuitive insight into your inner landscape.
WHAT IS THE AIM
OF CLEAN SPACE?
The aim is to support you in re-connecting with your inner knowledge and gaining insight into creative solutions and possibilities which have previously been hidden or out of reach from conscious thought.
WHAT DOES
THE THERAPIST DO?
The therapist asks specific, “clean” questions, and thus supports you in creating an individual associative landscape.
The therapist is always there to keep the space and the process in flow, and to witness, accompany and confirm your inner experience through emotional and cognitive resonance.
The interventions of the therapist are minimized so that the individual experience of the client is free of external interference, opinion, interpretation, or evaluation – „clean“.
DO I HAVE TO
SHARE MY THOUGHTS
WITH THE THERAPIST?
You are free to share as much or as little of your experience as you wish to. Even if you prefer to remain silent, the therapist will still be able to accompany and guide you through the process.
HOW LONG
DOES IT TAKE?
One session is 90 – 120 min long.
